Florida real estate military fee waiver

Florida DBPR may waive some initial professional license fees for qualifying active-duty members, veterans, spouses, and surviving spouses, but only DBPR can approve a waiver and Casa Academy cannot. Open the live DBPR Veterans Services and Military Services pages the day you apply, attach Form MVL 002 plus the evidence those pages list, and do not assume your application fee is already waived until DBPR confirms your path.

Where to ask (not a promise)

This page is a pointer. It does not promise that your RE 1 application fee, unlicensed activity fee, or any other DBPR charge will be $0. Casa Academy cannot approve, deny, or invent a military fee waiver. Start on DBPR Military Services (https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/military-services/, opened 2026-10-14) and DBPR Veterans Services (https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/military-services/veterans-services/, opened 2026-10-14). Spouse-focused copy also lives at https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/military-services/military-and-veteran-spouses/ (opened 2026-10-14). Florida National Guard notes are on https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/military-services/national-guard/ (opened 2026-10-14). The older hub URL https://www.myfloridalicense.com/DBPR/military/ still redirects into that military program family.

Who should read these DBPR pages

Read the live DBPR military pages if you are currently serving on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States, formerly served on active duty, are a spouse or surviving spouse married to such a member during a period of active duty, or are a veteran (including Florida National Guard service) applying within the discharge window DBPR describes. DBPR publishes two related fee-waiver programs: one under House Bill 615 that can waive the initial licensing fee, and one under House Bill 7015 that can waive the initial licensing fee, initial application fee, and initial unlicensed activity fee for honorably discharged veterans and spouses at discharge who apply within 60 months of discharge. Exam fees are not included in that veteran waiver language. Re-open the Veterans Services page before you mail anything because eligibility rules and forms change.

What to bring with Form MVL 002

Complete the Military Veteran Fee Waiver and Military Service Verification form (DBPR MVL 002) and submit it with your license application (form PDF: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/pro/documents/MVL002_Military-Veteran_Fee_Waiver_and_Military_Service_Verification.pdf, opened 2026-10-14). FAQ overview opened the same day: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/documents/FAQs-Military_Fee_Waiver.pdf. Typical evidence DBPR lists: current active-duty military orders; DD-214 or NGB-22 for former service; marriage certificate for spouses; DD-1300 for surviving spouses. Mail the completed package to the address DBPR prints on those pages (Customer Contact Center, 2601 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, FL 32399-2203) or follow the live online Apply for/Update Licenses flow if your profession path allows it. Bring only what the live form and FAQ ask for. Do not invent extra paperwork.

Published state fees still need sources

Until DBPR confirms a waiver for your file, treat published baseline fees as still due. The published RE 1 (Sales Associate Initial Application) fee is $62.75 (source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/re/documents/DBPR_RE_1_Sales_Associate_Application.pdf, opened 2026-10-14). The published Pearson VUE Sales Associate exam administration fee is $36.75 (source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/servop/testing/documents/CBT_exam_admin_Fee_2016.pdf, updated 2022-09-08, opened 2026-10-14). Confirm the live Pearson cart at https://home.pearsonvue.com/fl/realestate when you reserve. DBPR's veteran fee-waiver FAQ states that examination fees are not covered by that waiver language. Fingerprint shop prices vary after you file RE 1 (ORI FL920010Z for real estate). Optional DBPR headquarters Livescan in Tallahassee is not the required statewide total.

What Casa Academy includes (checked 2026-10-14)

Public tuition on the English and Spanish enroll pages is $199 for the current cohort (sources: https://casaacademy.com/enroll/florida-63-hour-pre-licensing-course and https://casaacademy.com/enroll/spanish, opened 2026-10-14). After that cohort fills, the published next price is $249. One payment. Klarna is offered at checkout. The $199 checkout includes the 63-hour DBPR-approved course, access until you finish, 650+ practice questions, a timed full exam weighted to Florida chapter weights, a ChatGPT tutor in every lesson, SM-2 flashcards, and English or Spanish as two full courses. School license ZH1003169, provider 0010716, English course 0032664, Spanish course 0032665. School final pass bar is 70%. The Florida state exam is Pearson VUE, 100 scored questions, about 3.5 hours, 75 correct. Do not mix the school final with the state exam. Casa tuition is school tuition. It is not a DBPR fee waiver and does not decide military eligibility.

What Casa tuition does not include

DBPR RE 1 ($62.75 unless DBPR later waives that line for your approved file), Livescan fingerprints, Pearson VUE exam fee ($36.75), post-licensing, continuing education, broker coursework, MLS access, and Realtor association dues are separate. Casa does not sell those state or association fees inside the $199 checkout. You can finish the military fee-waiver ask from the official DBPR pages alone. This page stays useful if you never buy Casa.

FAQs

Does Casa Academy approve Florida military fee waivers?
No. Only DBPR can approve or deny a military fee waiver. Casa Academy points you to the official pages and forms. Casa cannot promise a waiver.
Will my RE 1 application fee automatically be waived?
No. Do not assume your application fee is already waived. The published RE 1 fee is $62.75 (source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/re/documents/DBPR_RE_1_Sales_Associate_Application.pdf, opened 2026-10-14) until DBPR confirms a waiver for your file. Some DBPR military waiver paths waive only the initial licensing fee, not every fee line. Exam fees stay outside the veteran waiver language DBPR publishes at https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/documents/FAQs-Military_Fee_Waiver.pdf.
What form do I attach?
DBPR Form MVL 002, Military Veteran Fee Waiver and Military Service Verification (https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/pro/documents/MVL002_Military-Veteran_Fee_Waiver_and_Military_Service_Verification.pdf), submitted with your license application, plus the evidence the live Veterans Services and FAQ pages list for your status.
Does a military fee waiver cover the Pearson VUE exam fee?
DBPR's published veteran fee-waiver FAQ (https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/documents/FAQs-Military_Fee_Waiver.pdf, opened 2026-10-14) says examination fees are not included in that waiver. Confirm the live Pearson cart and DBPR FAQ before you schedule. The published Sales Associate exam administration fee is $36.75 (source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/servop/testing/documents/CBT_exam_admin_Fee_2016.pdf).
How much does Casa Academy cost right now?
Public tuition checked on 2026-10-14 is $199 on both the English and Spanish enroll pages (sources: https://casaacademy.com/enroll/florida-63-hour-pre-licensing-course and https://casaacademy.com/enroll/spanish). After the current cohort fills, the published next price is $249. Re-check the live enroll page before you pay. Casa tuition is separate from any DBPR military fee waiver.
