Direct answer
Submit electronic fingerprints through an FDLE-registered Livescan provider immediately after you file the DBPR RE 1 application, using ORI FL920010Z for real estate sales and brokers. Provider fees vary by shop, so confirm the quote when you book; optional DBPR headquarters Livescan in Tallahassee is not a required statewide fee.
When to get fingerprinted
The live DBPR fingerprinting hub and sales associate checklist say you must submit fingerprints with an FDLE-registered Livescan provider immediately after you submit the license application. FDLE requires the application to precede fingerprint submission. It may take up to five days for fingerprint results to reach DBPR after they are submitted to FDLE. That window is about fingerprint results only. This page does not invent a week count for RE 1 application review. Full RE 1 filing detail: /learn/florida-real-estate/dbpr-re-1-application.
DBPR wins if another site disagrees about order
Florida Realtors education pages still say you need fingerprints at least five days before you send the license application (sources opened 2026-10-14: https://www.floridarealtors.org/education/how-to-get-your-florida-real-estate-license and https://www.floridarealtors.org/education/broker-licensing). The live DBPR fingerprinting hub says the opposite: application first, then Livescan. Follow DBPR. Treat the association pages as non-authority when they disagree about order.
ORI number and what to bring
For real estate sales and brokers, give the provider ORI FL920010Z (source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/fingerprinting/, opened 2026-10-14). Wrong or missing ORI can block DBPR from receiving results. Bring two forms of identification; one must show your picture and signature. Tell the provider the profession is real estate. Keep the receipt. You can check transaction status later with the Transaction Control Number (TCN) through FDLE's Civil Workflow Control System search when the provider gives you that number.
What fingerprinting costs
DBPR says the total fee charged by each Livescan provider varies. Contact the provider you book and confirm the quote that day (source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/fingerprinting/, opened 2026-10-14). This page does not invent a statewide fingerprint total and does not name a required vendor. Optional DBPR headquarters Livescan at 2601 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, is published at $39 for the service, with a separate $36 processing fee when you use that hard-card or in-person headquarters path (same source, opened 2026-10-14). Those Tallahassee amounts are optional path prices only. Do not add them into a required statewide total. Most applicants use an FDLE-listed provider near them.
How long results last
On the live fingerprinting hub opened 2026-10-14, DBPR says it retains fingerprint results for 12 months from the date digital fingerprints were electronically received by FDLE. FDLE retains prints for 180 days. If prints expire before your application is in order, you may need new prints. Per FBI rules, prints cannot be shared across professions or agencies. Use a fresh set with the correct ORI for each license you apply for.
After fingerprints
Wait for DBPR exam approval. This page does not invent a processing-time range for that review. Approved applicants still need a valid 63-hour pre-license certificate at every Pearson VUE sitting. Pearson gives the state exam: 100 scored questions, about 3.5 hours, 75 correct to pass. The published exam administration fee is $36.75 (source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/servop/testing/documents/CBT_exam_admin_Fee_2016.pdf, updated 2022-09-08, opened 2026-10-14). Confirm the live cart at https://home.pearsonvue.com/fl/realestate. After you pass Pearson, affiliate with a sponsoring broker for an active license. What Casa Academy includes (checked 2026-10-14)
Public tuition on the English and Spanish enroll pages is $199 for the current cohort (sources: https://casaacademy.com/enroll/florida-63-hour-pre-licensing-course and https://casaacademy.com/enroll/spanish, opened 2026-10-14). After that cohort fills, the published next price is $249. One payment. Klarna is offered at checkout. The $199 checkout includes the 63-hour DBPR-approved course, access until you finish, 650+ practice questions, a timed full exam weighted to Florida chapter weights, a ChatGPT tutor in every lesson, SM-2 flashcards, and English or Spanish as two full courses (0032664 / 0032665 under school license ZH1003169). Seven-day refund via support@onlinerealestateschool.com. School final pass bar is 70%. Do not mix that with the Pearson cut of 75 correct out of 100.
What Casa tuition does not include
DBPR RE 1 ($62.75, source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/re/documents/DBPR_RE_1_Sales_Associate_Application.pdf, opened 2026-10-14), Livescan fingerprints (provider prices vary; optional Tallahassee HQ path is not a required statewide total), Pearson VUE exam fee ($36.75, source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/servop/testing/documents/CBT_exam_admin_Fee_2016.pdf, updated 2022-09-08, opened 2026-10-14), post-licensing, continuing education, broker coursework, MLS access, and Realtor association dues are separate. Casa does not sell those state or association fees inside the $199 checkout. You can finish Livescan and every state step with any DBPR-approved school; this page stays useful if you never buy Casa.

FAQs
- Do I fingerprint before or after the RE 1 application?
- After. Live DBPR pages say submit fingerprints immediately after the license application. FDLE requires the application to precede fingerprint submission. If Florida Realtors still says five days before the application, follow DBPR.
- What ORI do I give the Livescan provider?
- For real estate sales and brokers, ORI FL920010Z on the live DBPR fingerprinting hub opened 2026-10-14. Confirm the table on that page the day you book.
- How much do fingerprints cost?
- Provider fees vary. Confirm with the FDLE-listed shop you book. Optional DBPR headquarters Livescan in Tallahassee publishes $39 for the service and $36 processing for that path; those are not a required statewide total.
- What does "up to five days" mean?
- On the live fingerprinting hub, that window is how long fingerprint results may take to reach DBPR after submission to FDLE. It is not a published RE 1 application review timeline.
- Does Casa tuition include Livescan?
- No. Casa $199 checkout (checked 2026-10-14) covers the 63-hour course and included study tools. RE 1, Livescan, and Pearson fees are paid separately to those providers.
- Can I use this page without buying Casa?
- Yes. Any DBPR-approved school can supply the education certificate. The fingerprint order, ORI, and variable-fee rules on this page apply whether or not you enroll at Casa.
