Florida 45-hour sales associate post-license
Florida sales associates who pass the licensure exam must satisfactorily complete a Commission-prescribed post-licensing educational course of at least 45 classroom hours before the first renewal after initial licensure. Casa Academy sells that 45-hour post-license course separately from the $199 pre-license checkout, and a four-year real estate degree can exempt the requirement while attorneys are not exempt.

Direct answer
Florida sales associates who pass the licensure exam must satisfactorily complete a Commission-prescribed post-licensing educational course of at least 45 classroom hours before the first renewal after initial licensure. Casa Academy sells that 45-hour post-license course separately from the $199 pre-license checkout, and a four-year real estate degree can exempt the requirement while attorneys are not exempt.
At least 45 classroom hours
After you pass the Florida sales associate licensure exam, FREC requires a Commission-prescribed post-licensing educational course before your first renewal following initial licensure. For a sales associate, that course must total at least 45 classroom hours (source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/real-estate-commission/education/, opened 2026-10-14). This is not the 63-hour pre-license course, not continuing education after the first renewal cycle, and not the Florida state exam. Casa Academy's enroll page for this product is titled Post-Licensing Course (45 Hours) and frames it as the first-renewal requirement (source: https://casaacademy.com/enroll/postlicensing, opened 2026-10-14).
Due before the first renewal
Complete the sales associate post-licensing course before the first renewal after initial licensure. Missing that deadline can put the license at risk under DBPR and FREC rules. For the full renew sequence after this first cycle, see /learn/florida-real-estate/renew-a-florida-real-estate-license. Re-check the live DBPR education page and your MyFloridaLicense dashboard for your own renewal date.
Exemptions: degree yes, attorney no
Any licensee who has received a four-year degree in real estate from an accredited institution of higher education is exempt from the post-license education requirement (source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/real-estate-commission/education/, opened 2026-10-14). Attorneys are not exempt from post-licensing education even when they may have a pre-licensing path difference. Confirm exemption paperwork with DBPR before you skip the course.
Casa sells post-license separately
The $199 public pre-license tuition checked on 2026-10-14 (sources: https://casaacademy.com/enroll/florida-63-hour-pre-licensing-course and https://casaacademy.com/enroll/spanish) does not include post-licensing. Casa sells the 45-hour sales associate post-license course on its own enroll page at https://casaacademy.com/enroll/postlicensing (opened 2026-10-14). Check that live enroll page for the current checkout price before you pay. Any DBPR-approved school that offers the sales associate post-licensing course can satisfy the requirement.
School final vs the Florida state exam
The 45-hour post-license course has its own school completion rules. Florida schools commonly use a 70% pass bar on a school final for pre-license coursework. The Florida state exam is given by Pearson VUE: 100 scored questions, about 3.5 hours, 75 correct to pass. Do not mix the school final with the state exam. Passing the state exam is what got you to the post-license stage; finishing post-license is what keeps the first renewal on track.
What Casa Academy includes (checked 2026-10-14)

What Casa tuition does not include
DBPR RE 1 ($62.75, source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/re/documents/DBPR_RE_1_Sales_Associate_Application.pdf, opened 2026-10-14), Livescan fingerprints (provider prices vary), Pearson VUE exam fee ($36.75, source: https://www2.myfloridalicense.com/servop/testing/documents/CBT_exam_admin_Fee_2016.pdf, updated 2022-09-08, opened 2026-10-14), the 45-hour sales associate post-license course, continuing education after the first renewal cycle, broker coursework, MLS access, and Realtor association dues are separate. Casa does not sell those state or association fees inside the $199 checkout. You can complete the post-license requirement with any DBPR-approved school. This page stays useful if you never buy Casa.

- Does Casa $199 pre-license tuition include post-license?
- No. The $199 checkout checked on 2026-10-14 covers the 63-hour pre-license path only (sources: https://casaacademy.com/enroll/florida-63-hour-pre-licensing-course and https://casaacademy.com/enroll/spanish). - Is post-license the same as continuing education?
- No. Post-license is the Commission-prescribed course due before the first renewal after initial licensure. - Is the school final the same as the Florida state exam?
- No. Schools commonly use a 70% school-final bar. The Pearson VUE state exam is 100 scored questions, about 3.5 hours, 75 correct to pass. Do not mix them.
- Can I use this page without buying Casa?
- Yes. Any DBPR-approved school that offers the sales associate post-licensing course can satisfy the 45-hour requirement. The hour count, exemption rules, and fee distinctions on this page apply whether or not you enroll at Casa.
