Check Your Florida Real Estate Application Status

Use DBPR’s official search for a pending application, then use Online Services to attach requested documents or the license lookup after issuance.

Check a pending Florida real estate application through DBPR’s official View Application Status search. The form asks for the license board, profession, Social Security or tax number, and the applicant’s last name or organization name. It is different from the public license lookup used after DBPR issues a license.

Enter sensitive information only after confirming the browser address is on myfloridalicense.com. Casa Academy does not collect, receive, or check an applicant’s Social Security number. The state search is the authoritative source for an individual application record.

How to check a Florida real estate application

1. Open DBPR View Application Status. You do not need to begin on a third-party status page or provide your information to a school.

2. Select the board and profession that match the application. For a new Florida real estate sales associate, choose the real estate board and the sales associate profession rather than a broker, school, instructor, or appraisal category.

3. Enter the SSN or tax number and the last name or organization name exactly as they appear on the application. A mismatch can prevent the search from finding the record even when the application exists.

4. Open the returned record and read the wording DBPR displays. Save the application number and copy any requested item exactly; do not rely on a generic status glossary when the state record gives a specific instruction.

5. If DBPR requests another document, sign in to Online Services or follow the delivery instructions in the notice. Keep the confirmation produced after an upload or transaction.

Public status search vs. DBPR Online Services

The public status search answers whether DBPR has a matching application and shows its current record. DBPR Online Services is the account workflow used to start an application, make a secure payment, receive a summary and receipt, return to check status, and attach additional documents when needed.

DBPR’s one-page Online Services features and steps confirms that a first-time applicant can return to check status and attach more documents. Use DBPR Online Services when the application or notice requires account access; use the public status search for a direct record check.

Application status is not license status

An application record tracks the request DBPR is reviewing. A license record confirms that DBPR has issued a credential and shows the license type, number, status, and related public information. Searching the license database too early can make a valid pending application look missing.

After issuance, use the Florida DBPR real estate license lookup guide. It links both the official search for one license and DBPR’s weekly CSV downloads. The CSV is designed for public-record research, not for checking whether DBPR received one person’s pending application.

Where fingerprints fit into the status timeline

The current sales associate application checklist says the application should be submitted before fingerprints. Complete electronic fingerprints through an FDLE-registered provider immediately after applying and use real estate ORI FL920010Z.

DBPR’s fingerprinting instructions say results may take up to five days to reach the department after FDLE submission. Keep the provider receipt and Transaction Control Number. The TCN can be checked through the FDLE transaction lookup when you need to distinguish a fingerprint transmission issue from a broader DBPR application review.

Where the 63-hour course fits

DBPR does not require the 63-hour completion certificate when the standard sales associate application is first submitted. The applicant must provide proof of the approved 63-hour course before sitting for the state examination, and the course completion is valid for two years.

That distinction prevents two common errors: waiting to apply until the course is over, or assuming an approved application removes the education requirement. Application review, fingerprint processing, course completion, exam authorization, examination, and license activation are separate milestones.

What to do when DBPR requests more information

Read the notice before guessing at the cause. Confirm the application number, applicant name, profession, due date, requested document, and accepted submission method. Upload or send the exact requested material and retain the confirmation. If the notice concerns fingerprints, contact the original provider with the TCN and verify the ORI.

For a question that the notice or account does not resolve, use DBPR’s Customer Contact Center at 850-487-1395. Do not email a Social Security number or other sensitive identity data unless DBPR’s official instructions explicitly provide a secure method.

A practical application tracking checklist

• Save the application summary, payment receipt, and application number.

• Submit fingerprints after the application and keep the Livescan receipt and TCN.

• Check the DBPR record using the same legal name and profession selected on the application.

• Read and respond to the exact wording of any document request.

• Keep the 63-hour course certificate for exam eligibility.

• Switch to the public license lookup only after DBPR issues the credential.

FAQs

Q: Where do I check my Florida real estate application status?

A: Use DBPR’s official View Application Status form. Select the correct board and profession, then enter the identifying fields requested by the state.

Q: Do I need a DBPR login to check status?

A: The public status form provides a direct search. Online Services account access is useful when you need to manage the application or attach requested documents.

Q: Why is my application not in the license lookup?

A: The license lookup searches issued credentials, not pending applications. Use the application-status form until DBPR issues the license.

Q: How long do fingerprints take to reach DBPR?

A: DBPR says results may take up to five days after submission to FDLE. Track the fingerprint transaction separately with the provider receipt and TCN.
